Kristen Stokl is a singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. She is very talented and began writing songs on piano at the age of 14. She began recording her debut album in 2019, using a vast range of acoustic instruments and vintage synths. Her debut album is out now, titled, “Go Alone,” can be found on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.

“The LHF is so grateful to Kristen Stokl and individuals like her, who are putting in efforts to support the work of Reconciliation across Canada. Finding ways to strengthen relationships between Indigenous Peoples and all Canadians by raising awareness and bringing action where they can, is so inspiring to see,” said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel at the LHF.

The LHF is a national, indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 21 years. The LHF’s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.
