Fight Fitness Helps Promote Reconciliation with Donation to the Legacy of Hope Foundation

(Ottawa, ON) March 17, 2022–The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is grateful to Fight Fitness, a leading provider of group fitness and personal training, for raising awareness about Indigenous history, promoting Reconciliation, and giving back to the community with their donation.

LHF has been working for nearly 22 years to foster Reconciliation in Canada. We are an Indigenous led organization, and our goal is to educate and raise awareness about the impacts from Residential and Day Schools, the Sixties Scoop, and other acts of colonial oppression targeting seven generations of Indigenous (First Nations, Métis, and Inuit) in order to address racism and injustices against them.

“While the impacts of colonization and the Residential and Day School Systems continue to negatively affect Indigenous Peoples across Canada, we at LHF are always working to create a country that is respectful of all peoples and cultures. It is always a welcome occasion when a new ally joins this effort,” said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Counsel at the Legacy of Hope Foundation.

Joe Hsiung said,” We’re happy to contribute to the LHF, an organization that promotes the history of Indigenous Peoples and raises awareness of the trauma they have experienced, and we hope that our contribution makes a difference.”
