The Legacy of Hope Foundation Acknowledges and Honours the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation
(Ottawa, ON) 14 juin 2021– The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) acknowledges and honours the Ontario Secondary School Teachers’ Federation (OSSTF) for their generous donation to support healing through Reconciliation. This $10,000 donation demonstrates the OSSTF’s strong commitment towards the ongoing work of the LHF in educating and raising awareness about the history and impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems, the subsequent effects of the Sixties Scoop, and the aftermath that they continue to have on Indigenous Peoples through collective and intergenerational trauma. These funds will help to support the resources which seek to integrate more Indigenous education into curriculum, to affect lasting change in the relationships among Indigenous Peoples and all Canadians.
