(Ottawa, ON) July 24, 2025 – The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is proud to welcome PCL Constructors as a new sponsor of the Roots and Hoots Podcast. Through PCL’s sponsorship, LHF will continue to grow our reach and develop new podcast episodes that inspire Indigenous Peoples and non-Indigenous Peoples to engage in Reconciliation and work towards building better futures together.

PCL Constructors is 100 per cent employee-owned with a commitment to safety, quality, diversity and integrity. PCL continues to earn recognition, including being named a Platinum member of Canada’s Best Managed Companies and one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People in 2025.

PCL has always been ahead of the curve and continues to build a reputation for quality work and a healthy workplace culture. Their work has expanded to include projects across Turtle Island, the Caribbean, and Oceana.

“The Legacy of Hope Foundation is honoured to receive PCL’s sponsorship of the Roots and Hoots Podcast. PCL’s long-standing commitment to community building and social responsibility reflect values we hold at the Legacy of Hope Foundation. With their support, we can continue to amplify Indigenous voices and advance the vital work of Reconciliation,” says Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel at the LHF.

The LHF is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 25 years. The LHF’s goal is to educate Canadians about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Child Welfare System on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Métis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to address discrimination against Indigenous Peoples, and to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage Canadians to address discrimination and injustice to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples.

The LHF has 30 educational exhibitions that promote awareness of Indigenous history that are free to borrow and is working on making exhibitions available online. LHF also has curriculums for K-12 and for adults, along with Activity Guides, Workshops, and Training, two Podcast series, all aimed at educating Canadians about Indigenous history and the shared history of Residential and Day Schools, the Child Welfare System, and other colonial acts of oppression. The LHF works to develop empathy and understanding to eliminate ongoing racism against Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation in Canada.
