(Ottawa, ON) July 10, 2023 \u2013 The Legacy of Hope Foundation would like to thank ATB Financial for raising funds at Forward Summit 2023. By matching the amount of donations collected, ATB contributed to the raising of over $7,400 at the event. All the funds donated will go towards supporting the Legacy of Hope’s Financial Literacy Workshops in Alberta.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt has been an honour for ATB Financial to partner with The Legacy of Hope Foundation. Their work is an important part of advancing Reconciliation across the country. Through donation matching and expansion of the Financial Literacy Workshops within Alberta, ATB has had the opportunity to support this meaningful and impactful work by LHF,\u201d said Dr. Roselle Gonsalves, Managing Director, Inclusion & Reconciliation, ATB Financial.<\/p>\n

\u201cLHF is so thankful for this support from ATB Financial in funding Workshops that will make a positive difference in Indigenous Peoples\u2019 lives said Teresa Edwards, LHF Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel.<\/p>\n

The LHF is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 23 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate Canadians about Indigenous history and existing impacts on generations of Indigenous Peoples from their time in Residential and Day School and the Child Welfare System. The LHF works to encourage people to address ongoing discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.<\/p>\n

La FAE dispose de plus de 30 expositions accessibles au public et travaille \u00e0 rendre ses autres expositions disponibles en ligne. La Fondation poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l'histoire commune des pensionnats et des externats, du syst\u00e8me de protection de l\u2019enfance, etc. La FAE travaille \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l'empathie et la compr\u00e9hension afin d'\u00e9liminer le racisme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des peuples autochtones.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div>
