(Ottawa, ON) \u2013\u00a0June 26, 2023<\/strong> \u2013 The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is grateful to Connect Partnership Group Ltd. for inviting us to Forward Summit 2023 as their official nominated charity, where we hosted an info table, collected donations to support our mission of promoting healing and Reconciliation, and met with future partners.<\/p>\n

Forward Summit est un important \u00e9v\u00e9nement de deux jours qui rassemble des leaders autochtones et des membres dirigeants de diverses industries de partout au Canada pour avoir une conversation nationale sur la main-d'\u0153uvre et le d\u00e9veloppement \u00e9conomique, et pour produire une charte con\u00e7ue et mise en \u0153uvre conjointement par les leaders autochtones et leurs homologues de l'industrie.<\/p>\n

\u201cSupporting the great work that the Legacy of Hope Foundation does is one of the most meaningful things we can do as an organization. By educating ourselves and others about the experiences and ongoing challenges of Indigenous Peoples, we can help lay the foundations for a more just and equitable society,\u201d said Miki Reeder, President & CEO, Forward Summit.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking with allies like Miki Reeder and his team at Forward Summit is one of the concrete actions that we can take to positively impact the socioeconomic impacts for Indigenous Peoples while educating Canadians about what Indigenous Peoples have experienced in Canada,\u201d said Teresa Edwards, LHF Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel.<\/p>\n

The LHF is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 23 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate Canadians about Indigenous history and existing impacts on generations of Indigenous Peoples from their time in Residential and Day School and the Child Welfare System. The LHF works to encourage people to address ongoing discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.<\/p>\n

La FAE dispose de plus de 30 expositions accessibles au public et travaille \u00e0 rendre ses autres expositions disponibles en ligne. La Fondation poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l'histoire commune des pensionnats et des externats, du syst\u00e8me de protection de l\u2019enfance, etc. La FAE travaille \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l'empathie et la compr\u00e9hension afin d'\u00e9liminer le racisme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des peuples autochtones.<\/p>\n
