(Ottawa, ON) July 6, 2022 \u2013 <\/strong>La Fondation autochtone de l'espoir (FAE) est reconnaissante du soutien et de la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 d'esprit dont a fait preuve Hyper Hippo Entertainment. Gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce don, la FAE continuera \u00e0 produire du mat\u00e9riel \u00e9ducatif et des expositions qui traitent de la riche histoire, ainsi que des impacts des abus sur 7 g\u00e9n\u00e9rations de peuples autochtones et de communaut\u00e9s qui ont fr\u00e9quent\u00e9 les pensionnats et les externats, et\/ou qui ont \u00e9t\u00e9 affect\u00e9s par la Rafle des ann\u00e9es 60.<\/p>\n

Hyper Hippo Entertainment is a digital entertainment studio with several popular mobile games. As an extension of their core purpose \u2013 making entertainment that has a positive impact on the world \u2013 Hyper Hippo is also committed to creating positive social change in their communities, through giving back, volunteering, and supporting community-focused organizations. Hyper Hippo has provided a generous donation to LHF which will continue the work to educate Canadians about the histories of Indigenous Peoples and the harms that they face caused by the Residential and Day Schools and the Sixties Scoop within Canada.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur team at Hippo was keen to support Indigenous Peoples and communities. As we were researching organizations, Legacy of Hope Foundation\u2019s focus on promoting education and awareness stood out to us as we believe this is such an important component of truth and Reconciliation,\u201d said Jennifer Kilback, Chief Business Officer at Hyper Hippo.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe are so thankful to Hyper Hippo for their kindness and generosity. When people come together to support Indigenous issues, we get that much closer to Reconciliation and a brighter future for everyone,\u201d said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel at the LHF.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The LHF is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 22 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and impacts on 7 generations of Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and M\u00e9tis) children, their families and communities from attending Residential and\/or Day School. By fostering empathy and understanding, LHF encourages people to address discrimination and injustice and contributes to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples.<\/p>\n

La FAE dispose de plus de 25 expositions accessibles au public et travaille \u00e0 rendre ses autres expositions disponibles en ligne. La Fondation poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l'histoire commune des pensionnats et des externats, de la Rafle des ann\u00e9es 60, etc. La FAE travaille \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l'empathie et la compr\u00e9hension afin d'\u00e9liminer le racisme \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9gard des peuples autochtones.<\/p>\n
