Job Description: Manager of Education <\/strong><\/p>\n

Type: Part Time – Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n

Terme: <\/strong>April 1, 2022 \u2013 March 31, 2023 (with possibility of extension)<\/p>\n

The Legacy of Hope Foundation is a national Indigenous-led, charitable organization founded in 2000 with the goal of educating and raising awareness about the history and many impacts of the Residential School System. These include the direct and ongoing impacts on First Nations, M\u00e9tis, and Inuit Survivors, their communities, and their descendants. Our mission is to educate towards creating just and equal relationships of Reconciliation and healing for all Canadians, to expand awareness of and access to the rich legacy of the contributions of Indigenous Peoples in Canada and the world, and to make known the histories of injustices.<\/p>\n

Working in partnership with First Nations, M\u00e9tis, and Inuit Peoples, communities, and organizations, governmental agencies, educational institutions and teachers, small to large businesses and others across the country to develop educational materials, commemoration projects, and research initiatives that support our mission.<\/p>\n

R\u00e9sum\u00e9 de la position:<\/strong> The Manager of Education will be responsible for overall program development, administration, and supervision of the education programs for schools and extra-curricular venues. The Manager is responsible for the development and dissemination of curriculum and of other educational materials. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Manager of Education is responsible for the successful delivery of the Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) Education Program and Education Departmental Team, ensuring consistent achievement of LHF\u2019s mission and strategic objectives. In implementing the strategic direction set by the Board, the Manager of Education will work collaboratively with the other Managers of the organization.<\/p>\n
