(Ottawa, ON) November 10, 2021 \u2013<\/strong> La Fondation autochtone de l'espoir (FAE) est reconnaissante de la g\u00e9n\u00e9rosit\u00e9 et du soutien de Spirits Stand Strong. Spirits Stand Strong est une marque de v\u00eatements et d'accessoires de qualit\u00e9 sup\u00e9rieure, g\u00e9r\u00e9e par une famille crie, qui combine un style de vie moderne avec un design et un savoir-faire d'inspiration autochtone. Leur soutien est tr\u00e8s significatif et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 ce don, la FAE sera en mesure d'augmenter ses ressources \u00e9ducatives et destin\u00e9es \u00e0 ses expositions, qui visent \u00e0 combler le manque de connaissances sur le R\u00e9gime des pensionnats indiens et son impact sur les peuples autochtones du Canada.<\/p>\n

The Spirits Stand Strong logo is of the American Buffalo standing strong beneath the Northern Lights. Their brand identity is: \u201cNo matter how much adversity Native Americans have faced, our Ancestors Spirits stand strong and continue to offer us teachings, guide us through life and our culture will not be forgotten.\u201d\u00a0 The message of strength and resilience is enmeshed into the fabric of their brand. Spirits Stand Strong is a sustainable clothing and accessories label – their products are made on-demand to avoid overproduction.<\/p>\n

\u201cBy making this generous donation to us, Spirits Stand Strong, are echoing what we have always known, that as Indigenous Peoples, we are resilient and that by supporting each other, we will make our voices heard and have a bigger impact,\u201d said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel ant the LHF.<\/p>\n

\u00c0 l'automne 2021, Spirits Stand Strong s'est engag\u00e9 \u00e0 soutenir la FAE en faisant don de 5 $ pour chaque vente de ses v\u00eatements MMIW et Every Child Matters. Leur don est un symbole des racines croissantes de la communaut\u00e9. Ce don permettra \u00e0 la FAE de produire des ressources \u00e9ducatives qui favorisent la compr\u00e9hension et la R\u00e9conciliation partout au Canada.<\/p>\n

The LHF is a national, indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 21 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and M\u00e9tis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.<\/p>\n

La FAE dispose de plus de 25 expositions accessibles au public et travaille \u00e0 rendre ses autres expositions disponibles en ligne.
