(Ottawa, ON) 4 novembre 2021<\/strong> \u2013 The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) honours and acknowledges Kristen Stokl for her generous donation. These proceeds will help to promote the ongoing work of education and Reconciliation at the LHF.<\/p>\n

Kristen Stokl is a singer-songwriter based in Toronto, Ontario. She is very talented and began writing songs on piano at the age of 14. She began recording her debut album in 2019, using a vast range of acoustic instruments and vintage synths. Her debut album is out now, titled, \u201cGo Alone,\u201d can be found on platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, and YouTube.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe LHF is so grateful to Kristen Stokl and individuals like her, who are putting in efforts to support the work of Reconciliation across Canada. Finding ways to strengthen relationships between Indigenous Peoples and all Canadians by raising awareness and bringing action where they can, is so inspiring to see,\u201d said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Legal Counsel at the LHF.<\/p>\n

The LHF is a national, indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 21 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Me\u0301tis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.<\/p>\n

La Fondation a plus de 25 expositions \u00e9ducatives qui favorisent la sensibilisation \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et qui peuvent \u00eatre emprunt\u00e9es gratuitement, et travaille \u00e0 la mise en ligne de ses expositions. La FAE poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s, des ateliers, des formations et des podcasts, tous visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l\u2019histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l\u2019histoire commune des pensionnats indiens et des \u00e9coles de jour, de la Rafle des ann\u00e9es 60, etc. La FAE travaille \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l'empathie et la compr\u00e9hension afin d'\u00e9liminer le racisme et de favoriser la R\u00e9conciliation au Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
