(Ottawa, ON) 4 novembre 2021<\/strong> \u2013 The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) wishes to thank the local Ottawa paddling apparel company, Level Six for their generosity and support. Level Six donated $3,000 to support the development and production of educational resources to increase the reach of our message across Canada.<\/p>\n

Level Six s'int\u00e9resse au style de vie des pagayeurs. C'est une marque qui est n\u00e9e sur l'eau et porter leurs v\u00eatements vous permet de sortir et de vous amuser sur l'eau. Ce qui n'\u00e9tait au d\u00e9part qu'une id\u00e9e sur une plage de surf au Costa Rica a permis \u00e0 Level Six de devenir un acteur majeur de son secteur. Level Six utilise les initiatives de commerce \u00e9thique (ETI) comme normes de durabilit\u00e9 des produits, afin de garantir que leurs cha\u00eenes d'approvisionnement respectent les bonnes pratiques de travail. Chez Level Six, la durabilit\u00e9 et le d\u00e9veloppement communautaire font partie int\u00e9grante de la marque. https:\/\/levelsix.ca\/<\/a><\/p>\n

\u201cThis donation by Level Six, speaks to their focus on community development,\u201d said Teresa Edwards, Executive Director and In-House Counsel at the LHF. \u201cThe work of Reconciliation spans across Canada and involves everyone. This donation will make a difference in increasing the visibility and ability of the Legacy of Hope Foundation, to chart the path ahead,\u201d she continued.<\/p>\n

The LHF is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation in Canada for over 21 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and Me\u0301tis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustice to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.<\/p>\n

La Fondation a plus de 25 expositions \u00e9ducatives qui favorisent la sensibilisation \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et qui peuvent \u00eatre emprunt\u00e9es gratuitement, et travaille \u00e0 la mise en ligne de ses expositions. La FAE poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s, des ateliers, des formations et des podcasts, tous visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l\u2019histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l\u2019histoire commune des pensionnats indiens et des \u00e9coles de jour, de la Rafle des ann\u00e9es 60, etc. La FAE travaille \u00e0 d\u00e9velopper l'empathie et la compr\u00e9hension afin d'\u00e9liminer le racisme et de favoriser la R\u00e9conciliation au Canada.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
