Tommy discute de la trag\u00e9die et du processus de gu\u00e9rison en cours depuis l&#039;accident.<\/p>\n<p>Tommy est membre de la nation crie Bunibonibee situ\u00e9e le long de la rive est d&#039;Oxford House, au Manitoba. Tommy a occup\u00e9 les postes de chef et de conseiller dans sa communaut\u00e9 jusqu&#039;\u00e0 sa retraite il y a quelques ann\u00e9es \u00e0 peine. Il parle un peu de sa jeunesse et de ses exp\u00e9riences dans les pensionnats indiens et de la fa\u00e7on dont lui et d&#039;autres \u00e9l\u00e8ves ont \u00e9t\u00e9 accueillis apr\u00e8s avoir d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 \u00e0 Stonewall, au Manitoba, pour aller \u00e0 l&#039;\u00e9cole. Lorsque la trag\u00e9die a frapp\u00e9 en 1972, Tommy raconte comment sa famille et sa communaut\u00e9 se sont r\u00e9unies pour pleurer la perte de vies en tant que collectif; mettre en valeur la valeur et la proximit\u00e9 de la communaut\u00e9 en p\u00e9riode de besoin.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are so thankful to have Tommy this week\u2019s episode. We are amazed by his emotional strength and appreciate him sharing such a tragic story with us and with the world. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing intergenerational impacts of the Residential and Day School Systems and subsequent Sixties Scoop on Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and M\u00e9tis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities to promote hope and healing in Canada. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustices in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.
