In commemoration of International Volunteer Day, the LHF would like to express their gratitude towards all the volunteers who helped with the organization\u2019s deliverables and successes.<\/p>\n

La Journ\u00e9e internationale des volontaires (JIV) est une c\u00e9l\u00e9bration mondiale qui a lieu chaque ann\u00e9e le 5 d\u00e9cembre. Son objectif est de reconna\u00eetre l'impact des efforts des volontaires partout dans le monde. L'IVD n'est pas seulement pour c\u00e9l\u00e9brer le volontariat, mais aussi pour souligner le r\u00f4le que les volontaires jouent dans la construction de communaut\u00e9s r\u00e9silientes. Les volontaires jouent un r\u00f4le crucial dans le changement social dans le monde et cette journ\u00e9e sp\u00e9ciale promeut leur travail \u00e0 tous les niveaux, y compris local, national et international.<\/p>\n

\nThe Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is a national, Indigenous-led, charitable organization that has been working to promote healing and Reconciliation for 20 years. The LHF\u2019s goal is to educate and raise awareness about the history and existing impacts of the Residential and Day School System, Sixties Scoop, and other colonial acts of oppression on generations of Indigenous (First Nations, Inuit, and M\u00e9tis) Survivors, their descendants, and their communities in order to promote healing and to address racism. The LHF works to encourage people to address discrimination and injustice in order to contribute to the equity, dignity, and respectful treatment of Indigenous Peoples and to foster Reconciliation.
