Nous sommes \u00e9galement rejoints par l&#039;invit\u00e9 David Sudlovinik, la personne qui finirait par retrouver les deux filles et les aider \u00e0 les remettre en s\u00e9curit\u00e9.<\/p>\n<p>C&#039;\u00e9tait une journ\u00e9e de printemps ensoleill\u00e9e en 2011. Alyssa et Lavinia partaient p\u00eacher avec des amis et de la famille pas trop loin d&#039;Iqaluit, cependant, sur le chemin du retour, elles se sont perdues dans les pistes de motoneige quand un blizzard s&#039;approchait. Au printemps dans l&#039;Arctique, les temp\u00e9ratures peuvent descendre jusqu&#039;\u00e0 -40 \u00b0 C. Pendant 48 heures, les deux jeunes femmes se battaient pour leur survie, jusqu&#039;\u00e0 ce qu&#039;un membre de l&#039;\u00e9quipe de recherche et de sauvetage soit sur sa motoneige et les rep\u00e8re de loin.<\/p>\n<p>\u00abC&#039;est une histoire tr\u00e8s touchante que je suis reconnaissant que nous puissions partager avec le public. L'objectif de la FAE est d'\u00e9duquer et de sensibiliser \u00e0 l'histoire et aux impacts interg\u00e9n\u00e9rationnels existants des syst\u00e8mes r\u00e9sidentiels et des externats et de la rafle des ann\u00e9es 60 sur les survivants autochtones (Premi\u00e8res Nations, Inuits et M\u00e9tis), leurs descendants et leurs communaut\u00e9s afin de promouvoir l'espoir et la gu\u00e9rison au Canada. Le FAE \u0153uvre pour encourager les gens \u00e0 lutter contre la discrimination et les injustices afin de contribuer \u00e0 l'\u00e9galit\u00e9, la dignit\u00e9 et le traitement respectueux des peuples autochtones et de favoriser la r\u00e9conciliation. La LHF a \u00e9galement 19 expositions disponibles pour le pr\u00eat et peuvent \u00eatre exp\u00e9di\u00e9es \u00e0 travers le Canada.<\/p>\n<p>La FAE travaille \u00e0 la mise en ligne de ses autres expositions. La Fondation poss\u00e8de \u00e9galement des programmes d'enseignement de la maternelle \u00e0 la 12e ann\u00e9e et pour les adultes, ainsi que des guides d'activit\u00e9s visant \u00e0 sensibiliser les Canadiens \u00e0 l'histoire autochtone et \u00e0 l'histoire commune des pensionnats indiens, de la Rafle des ann\u00e9es 60, des femmes et des filles autochtones disparues ou assassin\u00e9es et des \u00e9coles de jour.
