The Aboriginal Healing Foundation was given a mandate to encourage and support, through research and funding contributions, community-based Aboriginal directed healing initiatives which address the legacy of physical and sexual abuse suffered in Canada\u2019s Indian Residential School System, including inter-generational impacts. AANDC\u2019s responsibilities are largely determined by numerous statutes, negotiated agreements and relevant legal decisions. Most of the Department\u2019s programs, representing a majority of its spending \u2013 are delivered through partnerships with Aboriginal communities and federal-provincial or federal-territorial agreements. Le programme comprend deux volets principaux : l&#039;Edu-kit et l&#039;exposition itin\u00e9rante. Tout au long des phases de recherche, de planification, de conception et de d\u00e9veloppement de 100 Years of Loss, la LHF a travaill\u00e9 en \u00e9troite collaboration avec les concepteurs de programmes, les chercheurs et les conservateurs des Premi\u00e8res Nations, des Inuits et des M\u00e9tis, et s&#039;est appuy\u00e9e sur une multitude de t\u00e9moignages de survivants. Les survivants de l&#039;IRS \u00e9taient repr\u00e9sent\u00e9s dans le processus d&#039;examen et les textes de la trousse \u00e9ducative et de l&#039;exposition ont \u00e9t\u00e9 soumis \u00e0 un processus rigoureux d&#039;examen et de v\u00e9rification par la Division de la recherche de la Fondation autochtone de gu\u00e9rison.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center; color: #000000;\">The bilingual mobile exhibition and curriculum are designed to raise awareness about the history and legacy of residential schools and includes companion educational resources for students in grades 9-12. The exhibition consists of eight thematic pods (4 in each official language), and a wavy wall that presents interweaving timelines, and lends itself to week-long activities or events, such as Aboriginal Awareness Week. The 100 Years of Loss curriculum, targeted to Canadian youth aged 11-18, includes a timeline, videos including Survivor testimonies, and a Teacher\u2019s Guide with six customizable lesson plans (12-24 hrs of activities), teacher resources and extension activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-fullwidth fullwidth-box fusion-builder-row-4
