Cette exposition, la premi\u00e8re au Canada \u00e0 \u00eatre d\u00e9velopp\u00e9e sur les pensionnats indiens, utilise des photographies et des documents d'archives pour raconter l'histoire du R\u00e9gime des pensionnats indiens en utilisant un format de style mus\u00e9al plus traditionnel. Le contenu est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sur des panneaux de texte et les images sous forme de photographies encadr\u00e9es.<\/p>\n

Cette exposition s'\u00e9tend sur plus de 125 ans et contient des photographies et des documents des ann\u00e9es 1880 \u00e0 aujourd'hui. Des photographies, des panneaux de texte et des art\u00e9facts permettent au t\u00e9moin de quitter la maison et d'arriver \u00e0 l'\u00e9cole aux activit\u00e9s scolaires et \u00e0 faire partie d'une salle de classe.<\/p>\n

Une section sur les enfants qui ne sont jamais retourn\u00e9s \u00e0 la maison ainsi que sur les mod\u00e8les de r\u00f4le contemporains offre un large \u00e9ventail de perspectives.<\/p>\n

La version 1.1 de cette exposition est pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e comme une \u00abexposition suspendue\u00bb comme vous le verriez dans n'importe quelle galerie d'art. La version 2.1 est une version de voyage, avec un contenu condens\u00e9 et affich\u00e9 dans une structure murale incurv\u00e9e avec une galerie de photos sur un moniteur.<\/p>\n
