Job Posting: Human Resources and Well-Being Project Coordinator

The Legacy of Hope Foundation, based in Gloucester/Ottawa, is a national Indigenous-led, charitable organization founded in 2000 with the mandate to educate Canadians about the history and impacts of the Residential/Day School, and subsequent Child Welfare System generations of Indigenous Peoples. These include the direct and ongoing impacts on First Nations, Métis, and Inuit Survivors, their communities, and their families. Our mission is to make known the history of injustice to build empathy and understanding and to support healing, while addressing racism. We also highlight the rich contributions Indigenous Peoples have made and continue to make to inspire action that will foster just and equal relationships for all in Canada.

The Human Resources and Well-Being Project Coordinator will support the administrative needs of the Human Resources and Well-Being Department, on a part-time basis (10 to 20 hours a week) from July 22, 2024 until March 31, 2025.

The main responsibilities of the Project Coordinator will be to provide comprehensive administrative support, including managing communication, scheduling appointments, maintaining records, and assisting with various office tasks, as required. Travel within Canada will be required. You may be asked to do work for the Exeutive Director and In-House Legal Counse, Managers, or other staff, on occasion. Reporting to the Manager of Human Resources and Well-Being, the Project Coordinator will be responsible of the following:

Job Responsibilities:

• Scheduling and Project Coordination: Managing calendars, creating agendas and taking meeting minutes, planning meetings with key stakeholders and project partners, creating proposal drafts and assisting on budgets, handling travel arrangements (community engagement sessions and other project deliverables), assisting in event and project coordination;
• Human Resources duties – Maintaining and managing Employee Records;
• Research, data entry and record keeping: Entering data into databases or spreadsheets and maintaining and updating records, preparing reports, documents and research as requested for projects;
• Occasionally travel in communities to deliver project activities and collect data;
• Other related duties, as required.

Salary and holidays:
• Salary: $23 an hour
• Holidays:1.25 days a month
