The Legacy of Hope Foundation Celebrates its 20-year Anniversary
(Ottawa, ON) July 20, 2020 – The Legacy of Hope Foundation (LHF) is happy to celebrate their 20-year anniversary of fostering Reconciliation in Canada. For the past two decades, the organization has worked to raise awareness about Indigenous history and its impacts in Canada through educational resources and multiple exhibitions.
“One of my dreams is to have the history of Residential Schools and Survivor Testimonies as part of a mandatory curriculum in every classroom in Canada.” said Ejinagosi (Richard) Kistabish, President of the LHF Board of Directors.
“I am grateful to the Survivors, LHF Board Members, funders, Staff, and our partners who work tirelessly to ensure that Indigenous history is shared so that we can all learn from it, and be inspired to take positive action that contributes to a just and equitable society for all who share this land,” added LHF Executive Director and Legal Counsel, Teresa Edwards.
To mark its 20-year anniversary, the LHF is launching a new and improved website. To learn more about the LHF, visit www.legacyofhope.ca
